Business Details

Come dive with the Sharkmen... Pioneers and Shark Cage Diving Experts in Durban, Rocky Bay & Aliwal Shoal Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa.

No Diving Experience Required!

Situated only 60 minutes from King Shaka International Airport on the KZN South Coast - We launch from the safest launch site on the Natal South Coast - Rocky Bay. We are specialists in Shark Cage Diving, Shark Diving Trips, Shark viewing at the Aliwal Shoal South Africa.

Shark cage diving typically involves diving in heavy metal cages in the cold waters of Gaansbaai in Cape Town, specifically targeting the large Great White Sharks that inhabit that region.

However in the warmer waters of KZN Natal, different species of shark can be found on our cage dive like Blacktip sharks, Dusky Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Tiger and Zambezi Sharks. Because these species are smaller than the Great White Shark and their main diet consists of small schooling fish.

We have a four man stainless steel SAMSA approved shark cages, designed by an engineer for diver and animal safety. The cage is a concertina, which opens up to width 2.3 m and height 2.4m and breadth 1m. Our cages are secured to the boat at all times in accordance with SAMSA requirements.

This is truly an exciting once in a lifetime experience - bond with family, friends or colleagues as you get close up to sharks in South Africa.

Many shark species are being pushed towards extinction through uncontrolled, destructive fishing methods. The sheer lack of compassion, understanding and basic awareness people have of these animals is enabling the slaughter of millions of sharks each year to continue unabated.

We view the Cage Diving experience as a vital way to connect people with healthy shark populations. The activity is intended to increase the level of focus, awareness and compassion the public have for sharks.

A typical shark cage dive involves getting into a wetsuit or a costume, donning a mask and climbing into a floating stainless steel cage with between 5 and 20 sharks gliding gracefully by, the cage walls.

Snorkeling with Sharks is an incredibly rewarding experience for those who want to feel 'at one' with these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. Non-divers can snorkel freely between 5 to 20 Oceanic Blacktip and Spinner Sharks or even a few Tiger Sharks in the Summer.

Snorkellers will have a safety diver with them at all times who has been working with Sharks for over 15 years to ensure your safety.

Safety is always our main concern, so we reserve the right to decide whether the dive should go ahead or not once out at sea. This is mainly due to visibility on the day as one should be able to see a Shark from at least 5 meters away.
