Description

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Brits, North West, South Africa, the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre has been a symbol of commitment to cheetah conservation since its establishment in 1971. Our enduring mission revolves around the preservation and protection of these remarkable big cats.

A Proud Legacy of Conservation

The Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre takes pride in its history of success. With unwavering dedication, we've accomplished the remarkable feat of breeding over eight hundred cheetah cubs, including the world-renowned King Cheetah, all within a safe and secure environment. We're honored to share these achievements with you.

No Government Funding - Our Self-Sustaining Approach

Unlike many conservation projects, the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre does not rely on government funding. Instead, we depend on the income generated from tours and our adoption program to support our conservation projects. By visiting us, you're directly contributing to the preservation of these magnificent creatures.

Education at the Heart of Our Mission

CHEETA: Community Help Enviro-Education Through Animals, our dedicated education division, is at the core of our mission. We firmly believe that education plays a pivotal role in conservation. The Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre welcomes schools to explore our center, offering informative tours and engaging activities to inspire a sense of responsibility for wildlife conservation.

Our Outreach Education Programme, initiated in 2003, uses the cheetah as a symbol of survival and sustainability to motivate young minds. This initiative has touched the lives of over 100,000 learners, emphasizing the importance of preserving natural resources and improving communities. Since 2010, CHEETA has been registered as a Section 18A Non-Profit Organization and actively involved in underprivileged communities.
