SHAKILA SAFARI BUSH CAMP | TENTED ACCOMMODATION

The beautiful game farm Zyndrandt between Bela Bela (Warmbaths) and Modimolle (Nylstroom) in the Waterberg mountain range in Limpopo is a breakaway destination not to be missed!

Accommodation at the Bush Camp comprise of:

The Lerato, Kiepersol & Aloa Safari Tents - feature three bedrooms each, equipped with either double beds and/or single beds. Each tent sleeps up to eight guests comfortably. All have full bathroom and shower amenities, large equipped kitchen, braai lapa, sundowner deck and a six seater Jacuzzi. Lerato tent boasts the possibility to erect an additional “chopper” tent which will allow for a total of 12 guests to be accommodated.

The Panorama & Rotsvy Safari Tents  - feature one room with double bed and one room with four single beds. Each unit has full bathroom and shower amenities, large equipped kitchen, braai lapa, sundowner deck and a six seater Jacuzzi. The two tents respectively sleep up to six guests comfortably.  At Panorama one additional “chopper” tent can be erected, if required, which will allow for a total of eight guests to be accommodated.

The two smaller 4×4 Safari Tents - Wildesering & Stamvrug – each feature a sundeck and a jacuzzi! Wildesering comprises of two tents small 3,5m X 3,5m, near each other and sleeps two per tent. Indoor shower, loo and wash basin, equipped kitchen, stove, fridge braai area and private jacuzzi. Stamvrug sleeps two in a 3,5m x 3,5m tent. Double bed, indoor shower, loo and wash basin, equipped kitchen, stove, fridge, braai area and private jacuzzi is included.

General: The tented bush camp, however, comprise far more than merely tents and no effort and attention to detail has been spared in the development. Each unit is very private and comprise of a spacious sun deck which allows for beautiful views of the Waterberg habitat and the valley below.

With that in mind the Waterberg sandstone and a combination of transparent rock crystal mixtures, is what the reserve mainly consists of. Notably the tree species detected are the Wild Seringa also known as the “Pierneef Tree”. The Wild fig and, the largest fruited Bush willow. In addition the Indian Almond, the Karee, the Acacia, together with the Cabbage tree as well as other Waterberg savannah tree species.

Positioned quietly on a ridge, on top of the Waterberg mountains:

In addition gazing down with quiet expectation, and in privacy you will therefore experience the sound of the Nyl River gently flowing. Furthermore the Nyl flood plains, are located about 30km away, near Mogopane (Naboomspruit). Above all they are a well known RAMSAR Convention and world wide reserve area, due to its impressive bird life .

For example, a breeding pair of Black Eagles are settled on the cliff opposite the stands. Watch the beautiful valley below. Also soak up the remarkable vistas as well as, enjoy the wind whispering though the trees.

Simultaneously note the elusive Leopard nearby, lounging lazily on the rocks in the sun. In the same vein hear the summons, of the acrobatic Black Eagle calling for its mates. On occasion the silence is broken by the clear call of Fish Eagles, that echos through the valley.

Above all animals are in ample and game includes: rare Brown Hyena, Kudu, Water-buck, Eland, Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Klipspringer. Just as the Reedbuck, Duiker, Lynx Bush Pig, Warthog, Bush-buck, Leopard, Steenbok, Porcupine, Aardvark, Python, Aardwolf, Jackal, Baboons, Otter, Iguana. As well as submersed reptiles and birds of many varieties.
